St. Matthew Lutheran Church is a congregation of faithful believers in Beaverton Oregon. As a congregation we were establish in 1942 as a community blessed by God's grace. We are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America but we also share in a network of Lutheran Renewal called Lutheran CORE (Coalition for Renewal).
St. Matthew is located at 10390 SW Canyon Rd in Beaverton. Our Sanctuary and narthex were designed by world renowned architect Peitro Belushci, and dedicated in December 1984.
One of St. Matthew's goals is to be a true family of Christ. We care for each other and for our community. We are particularly intentional in being a resource to families raising children in the Christian faith. We affirm and support all Christians in a personal walk with Christ their savior.
Numerous ministries have started up in the past years, and we have grown in many ways to align those with the vision that God has placed in our hearts. Our food pantry, Cars ministry, hot meal program and annual medical clinics support the gracious reign of Christ's Kingdom coming into the world and we invite your support and participation in this gracious partnership. You can find more information on all these ministries on this website.
Come and worship with us. Experience God's vision and purpose for your life. Our 8:30 is a traditional Lutheran service, 9:45 is contemporary, and 11:00 is a praise and worship service. The sermons are similar at each service.
