Welcome to SMLC Preschool!
St. Matthew Preschool offers a quality Christian education for children ages 2 1/2 through five. Our High/Scope "plan-do-review" pre-K curriculum allows for children to grow in all areas of development - language, cognitive, social and gross motor. Children learn many skills by engaging in activities at Learning Centers - art, writing, library, block, housekeeping, science, fine-motor and dramatic play. Children participate in music and gym/outdoor time daily and attend chapel once a month. Our low teacher:student ratios (1:6) allow for maximum teacher-student interaction.
In addition to classroom time, we host many special events and several field trips are scheduled throughout the year.
We provide a loving, well-trained and educated staff. All teachers and assistant teachers receive on-going training, monthly staff meetings and yearly evaluations.
Registration for the 2010-2011 school year has begun. Check-out the 2010-2011 link for more information about our class choices and for a registration form.

SML Preschool's Philosophy:
Early childhood is a crucial stage of development in which to provide children with an enriched learning environment. Children should be encouraged to flourish as individuals, while understanding the importance of cooperating with peers. Above all, children should be nurtured in God's love.
