A Fickle Companion

Speaking:
Jim Doherty
Sermon Series:
Sundays of Lent

Sermon Description:
The gospel story we consider today follows immediately upon the transfiguration story of last week. It’s “just another healing story” but the feast of insight is on the topic of faith. This text embodies the challenge of being a person of faith. Everything from the father’s confession, “I believe: help my unbelief” to the challenge the disciples have in accomplishing what faith requires, are lessons on the journey of belonging to God.

Partenting Teens

9:45 AM with Connie Abel

Connie raised two boys to be men of faith and integrity, but this class is not about one person handing on the secret wisdom for raising teens.  It is about parents sharing the struggles and the joys of the process of blessing kids into adulthood.

The class makes use of the video resources of Les and Leslie Parrot.  Both are Christian psychologists who have worked with couples and parents to make the Christian faith a resource for happy and healthy relationships.  Join us in the Fireside Room.
